We often see many users choose windows as their favorite operating system, for the reason I can play game on windows, I can work with microsoft word on windows etc.
But now, how if I told you that ubuntu linux is better than windows? maybe you will laugh at me or say that is impossible how can ubuntu better than windows?
I have 6 reason why ubuntu better than windows? Here we go..
1. OS and Software Update
Sometime when you enjoy doing your job suddently you get popup that you should update your windows, it is very disturbing right? it can broke my concentration.
Why windows doing this? because Windows handles its operating system and application updates separately. So you will receive popups for different applications as and when they need updating. This makes the whole process very frustrating, to the point were many people just turn them off.
Ubuntu is different. Everything is done via repositories and it uses a dedicated update manager to update both the operating system and all of the applications installed. So you only ever have to manage your updates from one place. This makes the process far slicker and means users tend not to turn them off — which means you are more secure.
2. System Resource
On several test, windows use bigger resources than ubuntu. Ubuntu just use 50% resources smaller than windows. It made ubuntu running faster than windows and user running ubuntu on their laptops / PC without lag.
3. Live Environment
You will never can try windows before install on your computer. So how about ubuntu? Yes, ubuntu can do that. Ubuntu has special feature that it can boot on live environment so you can try ubuntu first before install or you can only want to use ubuntu on live environment. Just make your decicion
4. Desktop Customization
There isn’t that much you can do with Windows when it comes to customization. Windows 10 gives more customization than previous versions, but it’s still nowhere near that of Ubuntu.
You’re pretty much limited to changing your wallpaper and start menu colors in Windows, but in Ubuntu any aspect of the desktop can be easily changed. Want the window buttons on the right? No problem. Don’t like the icons? It’s easily fixed. Maybe the Ubuntu fonts don’t float your boat? Say no more!
5. Free
I think this is the best part than others, yes absolutely, ubuntu is free. You don't need to pay to use this operating system. Its easy, you can try via ubuntu live CD, you dont need just reboot your machine and you'll back to your previous operating system.
